Gary Walmsley – Director

Gary now has over thirty five years of experience playing and teaching drums and has toured the UK, recorded sessions at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and has shared the stage with the likes of the Feeling, Editors, Ricky Warwick (The Almighty), Richie Kotzen (Poison, Mr Big), Andrew WK, Jeff Scott-Soto (Journey), Pete Way (UFO), Stone Gods ex-The Darkness), Stuart Cable (Stereophonics), Gary Stringer (Reef), Tugg (Basement Jaxx, Lady Sovereign), Jarvis Cocker and many more and sometimes plays with UK country band Gasoline & Matches.
Gary also plays drums on ‘The Life We Learned to Live’ which is the debut album from London based singer/songwriter Gary Nock. Two songs from this album have been used on major TV advertising campaigns for Mars and Microsoft.
Gary also consulted for Marshall Amplification between the years 2010 and 2025, working as product specialist for the Natal Drums brand. He was an integral part of the setup of the company in 2010 and developed the Natal Drums brand across the world as the Product Specialist and International liason Manager.
Gary is also a member of the worldwide D’Addario and Evans Heads Education Collective and holds a Trinity Rock and Pop Grade 8 Drum Exam Certificate, passing with distinction.
In both 2009 and 2012, Gary was part of the team who staged the World Record breaking attempt for the largest drum ensemble, breaking the world record with 850 drummers all playing together. The event was called ‘Stick it to MS’, it raised over £40,000 for the MS Society and garnered national news coverage.

Goldie Mutta – Director

Goldie is a professional music artist and actor. After training in acting in London she has proceeded to gain credits in various on-screen projects, continuing to build experience across film and television as well as her extensive experience in performing live.
Her interest in the creative industry sparked when she was a child and motivated her to dedicate a majority of her time to perfecting her craft as an artist. Songwriting became a prominent form of self-expression for her in her teen years which she continues to explore and develop as new inspiration hits within her life continually.
She wrote and released her debut single ‘Toxic Love’ in 2024, under stage name Goldé, which was co-produced by herself and our very own Filip Jonathan. Goldie is looking forward to releasing more songs and explore different eras of her sound as her career continues to develop.
As a director of Soundworks, she is excited to create a safe space for artists from all backgrounds to be able to explore their art in a judgement-free environment and be able to collaborate with our experienced producers on any type of project. Whether you are an established artist or someone new to the process, Soundworks is a space welcome to all!

Filip Jonathan – Producer

Filip Jonathan was born and raised in a small town in Serbia. From a young age, he displayed a zeal and talent for music and performing.
Following this passion throughout his educational career, Filip graduated from Belgrade Music Academy with a degree in Jazz Vocal Performance, as well as an Audio Production degree at SAE Institute.Filip Jonathan was born and raised in a small town in Serbia. Following this passion throughout his educational career, Filip graduated from Belgrade Music Academy with a degree in Jazz Vocal Performance, as well as an Audio Production degree at SAE Institute.Filip Jonathan was born and raised in a small town in Serbia. From a young age, he displayed a zeal and talent for music and performing.
He has written and produced songs for various independent artists both from his home country and abroad, even achieving a Number 1 hit in Serbia.
The diversity of his talent has also enabled Filip not only to write and produce music, but also work as a music teacher, as well as a piano and vocal coach. Moreover, Filip works as a studio singer, arranges for acapella groups, and mixes audio. In addition to this, he also composes for media and is involved in all aspects of music creation. Filip was also one of the Serbian national jury members for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2021.
As a teacher, Filip strives to inspire his students to unlock their inner passion for music. As part of this, he has worked with students who have competed in local and international singing competitions where they scored in the top places.
Filip will work with you, and inspire you, to understand and enjoy music in a fun, friendly and professional manner.
Stephen Deehan – Producer

Stephen is a music producer, audio technician and mix / mastering engineer with extensive experience in music and audio as an academic, educator, and industry professional.
He graduated with a First Class BSc in Music Technology from De Montfort University specialising in recording and mixing techniques. Subsequently, he returned to DMU’s Music and Technology Innovation Research Centre to complete his Masters degree, which he achieved with Distinction, and was awarded ‘Best Postgraduate Student’ in his cohort.
His Masters portfolio of electroacoustic work included compositions featured at Leicester’s Sound Festival 2022, as the soundtrack and sound design for student films, and audiovisual compositions. Stephen’s education has provided him with technical and artistic skills that he applies to all his work.
Alongside his university studies, Stephen worked as an audio engineer in a professional recording studio in Leicester, which increased his work rate and practical application of Logic Pro and recording studio hardware. He also worked with charities on community outreach projects in the East Midlands, utilising music and recording technology as an engagement medium and artistic outlet.
Prior to joining the Soundworks team, Stephen worked full-time with SEN students, re-engaging them with education through creative media projects using industry standard audio and video tools. Stephen has worked with professional digital audio since 2013, and he has played electric, acoustic, and bass guitar, since he was 15.
